Today was the 21st Annual Walk for Rice at Seward Park which is an annual event to help raise money to feed the hungry in our community. Our team, “Miso Hungry” raised over $7,000 and are the #1 team (but last year we were “Sticky Rice Balls”) two years in a row!
“Located in the International District, the  ACRS Food Bank is the second most-used food bank in King County and the  only provider to regularly distribute foods that meet Asian Pacific  American dietary needs.  In the past year, ACRS Food Bank has had nearly  5,000 visits from unduplicated individuals- two thirds of whom are  children under the age of 18 and elders the average age of 75.”
